Blending and Coating Stone, Clay, and Glass in the Rollo Mixer

Many MLB baseball infields, plate areas and pitchers’ mounds are clay packing mixtures and field conditioners made in the Rollo- Mixer. Treating clays with liquid additives is ideal with Continental’s unique Free-Fall Processing®. This award-winning coating technology in our industrial mixers for clays allow our customers to apply small percentages of expensive liquids onto all of the particles’ surface areas. Other applications, like blending glass powders, must be uniformly mixed going into the furnace, so that the viscosity of the molten glass coming out of the furnace is consistent. This creates a uniformly coated finished product.
