The Rollo-Mixer® Batch Mixer’s unique design makes it one of the most accommodating and versatile batch mixers in the industry, from de-dusting carbon black to granulating silicon carbide and mixing absorbent powders. Agglomerating requires uniform distribution of various sized particles while carefully spraying expensive liquid additives in free-fall. Surface treating hollow spherical glass particles is challenging for most coating equipment because of the enormous amount of surface area that needs to be treated. The Rollo-Mixer® Batch Mixer’s unique Free-Fall Processing® exposes 100% of the surface area of the 2–10 micron spheres while evenly coating exact amounts of small liquid additives.

Specialty Product Samples made with Rollo-Mixers ®

The Rollo-Mixer makes a wide variety specialty products. These samples range from blends of aspirin and potpourri, to rare earth minerals, composites and blending graphite flakes. Fine talc powders are lightly treated with liquids, and carbon black powders are de-dusted with wax. The gentle mixing and coating action creates no damage to the friable glass bubbles, dry liquid compounds and Silicas, which can absorb up to 70% liquid and remain flowable in the Rollo-Mixer.
